Soprano Titanium is a generation of the award-winning Soprano laser hair removal system. It is the most complete and effective laser hair removal system available.

Pulsed Light (IPL), Variable Pulsed Light (VPL) and Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (LASER) are three methods to target light hair follicles.

Our new method, Super Hair Removal (Soprano SHR) uses light to heat hair follicles, but at a lower temperature than the above 3 treatments. This is because the Soprano Titanium device is set at a lower temperature than IPL, VPL and LASER to prevent skin burns, redness or poor results.

Over the period of 6-8 sessions (for most people), you can achieve permanent hair reduction no matter what skin tone or if you have fair hair. Some clients may require top-up sessions every now and then to maintain permanent results.

Hair removal is one of the aesthetic medical industry’s most well-known and researched uses of lasers. Soprano® family of lasers has provided permanent hair reduction for thousands of patients worldwide, safely and successfully since it was cleared by the FDA in 2005.

Because our Laser is medical grade and pain free, they are non-invasive and complications are very rare. The side effects associated are minor and we will outline any possible side effects or complications at your consultation.

Some complications include minor warmth, redness, follicle swelling and some discomfort. However, these complications usually resolve themselves within a few days and can be easily treated with a cold compress and Aloe vera.

After your treatment, your hair will start to grow as though it has been recently shaved. 

The hairs can remain in the skin for up to 4 weeks after the treatment is complete, as the skin is naturally renewing itself. The blood supply to the hair has been damaged and as a result of this the follicle will start to get smaller and the hair will be eradicated. 

Laser hair removal reduces the hair growth to the point where you would never have to shave again. We can normally expect up to 95% hair reduction after a course of 6 – 8 sessions.

Laser hair removal can work anywhere on the face and body you wish to remove hair, as long as the hair is not white or grey. This treatment works best in areas where there is a clear contrast between hair and skin colour. Also, hair thickness and density can make a big difference since the thicker the hair the better are the final results.

Results can vary depending on your hair type and a series of factors such as medications, age and hormonal changes. 

We’ll discuss possible results and outcomes before each treatment. Generally, you can expect a reduction of thickness and reduction of hair growth. 

We recommend 8-10 sessions, spread 6 to 8 weeks apart, This can vary depending on your results. We aim to get a reduction of 80-90%. Our bodies are always producing new hair and therefore will never be 100% hair free, but the growth and length of time between needing laser hair removal may differ. Top up appointments are needed.

Keep in mind that the continued success of your Laser largely depends on how well you adhere to the aftercare and treatment plan that is put in place for you.

The guidance below can be followed for laser hair removal treatments, but make sure that you follow any additional/differing guidelines that you’re given by the clinic after your Laser.

• Keep the treated area clean and dry, and ensure that if you go out in the sun that a sunscreen product with an SPF of at least 30 is applied to the treated area to protect it from potentially damaging sunlight. Ideally you should avoid exposing the treated area to UV rays if possible (either through using sun-beds or by going out in the sun) for at least two weeks.
• Do not use perfumes, aftershave, lotions, creams, bleaching cream or oils on the treated area for 24-48 hours following treatment. If you do want to use a product on the treated area, use a natural, soothing product such as Aloe Vera.
• Avoid exercising for 24-48 hours following treatment. Sweating can cause inflammation of the hair follicles and so should be avoided where possible. The treated area should also not be exposed to unnecessary heat, such as in a Jacuzzi, hot bath, sauna, steam room or sun-bed.
• Avoid using deodorants and antiperspirants on the treated area for 24-48 hours.
• Avoid products containing Retinol (face only laser) 3-5 days prior and after your laser treatment.
• Avoid the use of exfoliants or peels for 2-4 weeks depending on the strengths used.
• Avoid waxing, threading, depilation or sugaring. The only approved form of hair removal is shaving, unless otherwise notified by the clinic.
